He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (240 ECTS) at Berlin International University of Applied Sciences in an English-taught program. His work explores the relationship between architecture and everyday life, with a particular focus on underused urban spaces.
Shaped by experiences across Europe and East Asia, his perspective is grounded in the observation of urban contexts and cultural differences. He approaches the city as a lived condition, critically reflecting on spatial practices across Western and Eastern environments.
During his studies, he expanded his perspective through international experiences. At Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) in Tokyo, he engaged with architectural engineering, structural systems, and sustainable development, developing an interdisciplinary understanding that complements his design-oriented education.
He also participated in the AA Visiting School at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he worked collaboratively in a group-based field research workshop in the Ueno area. As part of a collective investigation, the team explored contemporary urban life by gathering stories and architectural fragments through photography, drawing, and other media. This process led to the development of an experimental method of urban recording inspired by traditional Japanese forms such as Haiku and Hanafuda, reflecting on the present as a layered condition shaped by time.
His bachelor thesis investigates the potential of void spaces in Berlin’s large-scale housing estates (Großwohnsiedlungen), proposing strategies to foster social interaction and a stronger sense of community.
He is interested in adaptive reuse, minimal intervention, and spatial strategies that reconnect people within existing urban environments.
